Abstract

The main objective of this article is to share, through an experiential account, the interventions proposed within the work carried out in a public hospital in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires by occupational therapists and occupational therapy residents, in an approach device called pre-dining room, which consists of a space to specifically address children’s feeding challenges, receiving the referral of children who show a significant impact on their participation, given that they do not meet the minimum requirements necessary to participate autonomously in a feeding scene with peers. In order to outline the approach implemented from a responsive feeding theoretical framework, a brief description of terms related to the topic is given. Then, the clinical case is presented and the treatment objectives and the actions taken to achieve them are outlined.
