Senior Citizens Program of the National University of Quilmes (PUNQAM): from the perspective of active aging and the focus on the rights of the Elderly

The purpose of this document is to describe the experience of the PUNQAM courses, addressed to Older People and currently organized by the Occupational Therapy Degree at the National University of Quilmes (UNQ) in the city of Bernal. These courses began in 2014 and have been sustained to the present day as part of the proposals of the Secretariat of University Extension, generating a space for socialization, reflection and criticism, based on political framework of Active Aging (WHO, 1999) and within the focus of the protection of the human rights of the Elderly (Law No. 27360, 2014).
